HORIZONS STEWARDSHIP COMPANY

Horizons was founded in 1992 by Dr. Clif Christopher, an ordained pastor and stewardship consultant, to assist churches and other faith-based institutions to make strategic decisions and secure the necessary capital to accomplish their mission. The use of the word stewardship in the company name is very intentional. We believe that we are all creatures of a loving God who gifted each one of us that we might use our gifts to enable His will to be done.

To date, Horizons has helped secure over 400 million dollars for its clients with over 100 million in the last year alone. Horizons has ministry strategists located throughout the United States who stand ready to serve churches and our
non-profit clients.

VOLUNTEERS IN MISSION – SOUTHERN JURISDICTION

United Methodist Volunteers In Mission (UMVIM), SEJ the short-term mission agency of the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. UMVIM exists to promote, encourage, and enable Christians to exemplify “Christian Love In Action” through short-term mission service in the United States and abroad.

UMVIM provides opportunities for service by developing and nurturing relationships with domestic and international leaders. We continually nurture our contacts with these leaders to respond to the needs of local communities and to provide comprehensive project information. Our office strives to connect volunteers’ talents to suitable projects for effective service.

UMVIM also promotes and encourages mission through our email newsletter, the UPDATE, our printed literature, and our Web site. These tools present mission to our current community and potential volunteers, as well as to other United Methodists and Christians. We also provide comprehensive training programs for individuals and team leaders to help them prepare themselves and their teams for the mission field.
